The hidden village Lilani has the perfect climate for a vegetable nursery with its mild temperatures and its location next to a stream with hot springs nearby. LETCEE provided infrastructure support by building a big nursery to germinate seeds. The seedlings will be used in the Lilani community gardens and sold to other communities for an affordable price. This way we can ensure the sustainability of the project and create an income for the farmers in Lilani.
Last week we provided training to 15 women, how to use seedling trays. 3400 seeds were planted and watered correctly. We are confident that this program will empower our community members, improve household nutrition, build self-reliance and build a local economy.
