Accredited ECD Training
This course is an entry-level qualification for those who want to enter the field of Education, Training and Development, specifically within the sub-field of Early Childhood Development (ECD). This qualification will enable you to facilitate the all-round development of young children in a manner that is sensitive to culture and individual needs (including special needs) and enable you to provide quality early childhood development services for children in a variety of contexts, including community-based services, ECD centres, at home and in institutions.
We are accredited by the Education, Training and Development Practices Sector Education and Training Authority (ETDP SETA) to offer the Level 4 Further Education and Training Certificate in ECD. Accreditation no. 10025
This training is a NQF Level 4 with 140 credits. It is a full qualification that includes fundamental, core and elective unit standards. The training comprises 19 modules. Each module is taught over 5 days as contact sessions, once a month. The LETCEE training staff visits your workplace to assess and support you 3 times during the training duration.

Orientation course to ECD
This non-accredited course will give you an introduction to Early Childhood Development. The ECD Orientation Course is a basic course offered to students who have never worked with children before and would like to become ECD practitioners.
The purpose of the course is to help ECD practitioners to start working with children, create daily programs and managing a classroom enviroment.
The content covered within this course is as follows:
-The characteristics of an ECD practitioner
-The role of an ECD Practitioner
-What makes a good ECD Centre
-The areas in an ECD classroom
– Different types of ring times, the daily programme, child development, child management, teamwork and
administration.
-Practitioners are also taught to make educational resources out of waste materials
Doing this orientation course prepares the practitioners for the course that follows which is the
ECD NQF Level 4 Learning programme. The duration of this orientation course is one week, and at the end of the course the learners are given an attendance Certificate.
